| This litter was bred with performance collies in mind and to date thus far appears to be of success. Both Sire and Dam are excellent Herders, with the Sire succeeding also in Obedience and Rally as well, whilst the Dam is one of the best Tracking Collies I have seen here in Victoria. Rocky went to live in a lovely home in SA and has been doing very well in various Dog Sport Fields. Obedience CCD - Community Companion Dog - CCD gained on the 23/7/2016 at the age of 13 1/2 months. CD - (Novice Class) - Companion Dog - 29/10/2017 Eva and Rocky gained their CD (Companion Dog) Title. CDX - (Open Class) - Companion Dog Excellent - 23/9/2018 at the SA State trial Rocky gained his CDX Title. On the 19/11/2018 Rocky and Eva received the TOP OPEN DOG (METRO) DOGS SA TOP DOG AWARD 2018. A wonderful achievement for them both. Rally (RN) Rally Novice - Title gained - 20/5/2017 (RA) Rally Advance - Title gained - 5/8/2017 (RE) Rally Excellent - Title gained - 1/7/2018 (RAE) Rally Advance/Excellent - Title gained on 15/6/2019 (RM) Rally Masters - Title gained on 15/5/2021. NON ANKC Tricks This Title is not recognized by ANKC in Australia but it is a recognized Title by the Canadian and American Kennel Clubs. As this is not a recognized ANKC Title it is in Brackets behind his name, e.g. (NTD). I put all none recognized Titles in brackets. The below Titles were achieved through "Do More With Your Dog" which is an online course and can be done at home. NTD - Novice Trick Dog - Title gained - July 2020 ITD - Intermediate Trick Dog - Title gained - August 2020 ATD - Advance Trick Dog - Title gained - August 2020 Tricks (ANKC) TK.S -Trick Dog Starter - Title gained - 12/9/2020. Lure Coursing JC - Junior Courser - 1st qualification towards JC - 2/5/2021: 2nd and final Qualification for JC and Junior Courser (JC) Title - 6/6/2021: CA - Coursing Ability - Rocky passed his first of 8 runs needed for CA on 01/08/2021: 2nd run passed on 26/09/2021: Battle Of The States Australian 100 metre sprint competition - This is an annual fun activity run Australia wide - (Not a Title) 2021 - Rocky topped the Collies Roughs (no smooths entered this year) an impressive sprint of 7.93 second time. His cousin Sia, who has since retired in 2019 won the Back to Back wins 2018 & 2019. No comp in 2020 was held, due to Covid shut downs in many states. 2022 - Rocky was entered in the Veteran class, he was the only Collie Rough Veteran in this class. (Also no smooths in this class this year) with a 100 metre sprint done in just 8.91 seconds. Had Rocky been in with the others in the Rough run off he would have come in 2nd to Inka. No Brafferton Collies were entered in Australia in 2023. Sprint Dog Sport started in 2024. Sprint Dog New sport commenced on 1/7/2024 N.SPRD - Novice Sprint Dog - 100 points needed - Rocky gained a qualification and 37 points towards (time worked over the 2 runs needed per trial) - 9.75 seconds at the SA inaugural Print Dog Trial - 13/07/2024: 2nd Qualification with 37 points (time worked over the 2 runs needed per trial) - 9.70 seconds - 27/10/2024: 3rd Qualification with 35 points (time worked over the 2 runs needed per trial) - 10.29 seconds - N.SPRD Title gained (SA Dogs paper work pending) - 22/03/2025: Tracking TD - Tracking Dog - Test 1 passed in Victoria on 12/06/2022: Test 2 passed in South Australia on 02/07/2022. Test 3 in SA thus gaining his TD (Tracking Dog) Title on 04/06/2023 Nose Scent Work SWN - Scent Work Novice - Rocky passed Four elements, four passes including a 3rd place in the Interior search, and a 1st place on Containers on the 26/03/2023 thus gaining his SWN (Scent Work Novice) Title; On 22/04/2023 Rocky gained another pass in Novice Containers (needed perhaps for a future Container Title) and 3rd placing; SWA - Scent Work Advance - Advance Interior saw him gain a pass on 22/04/2023: SWA (Scent Work Advanced) Gained 1st pass in Advanced Interior and container - 22/7/2023. Gained 2nd pass in Advanced container search - 31/8/2023: Gained 5th of (9) Qualification in Advanced Vehicle search - 01/09/2023: On 8/10/2023 Rocky gained another pass in Exterior Advance over in Victoria at the Dogs Victoria Scent Work Trial held in Gippsland. 28/10/2023 Rocky gained another pass in Vehicles, this is 7th of 9 needed for SWA Title. Rocky gained another pass now having 8 or 9 needed for Scent Work Advanced title on 01/12/2023: 9th of 9 pass gained for SWA (Scent Work Advance) Title gained 12/12/2023: SWE - Scent Work Excellent - On the 3/2/2024 Rocky gained 1 pass at the Noarlunga Scent Work Trial in Containers: At the Para District Scent work Trial on the 27/4/2024, he gained 2 passes being 1 in Containers and 1 in Vehicle: On the 23/6/2024 he gained another 2 passes at the Scent Work Advisory Committee Trial in SA being 1 in vehicles and 1 in Exterior: 3rd pass gained in Excellent Containers on 19/10/2024: At Para District Rocky gained his 3rd pass in Excellent Vehicles on 16/11/2024: Scent Work Element Titles - SWV - Scent Work Vehicles - Rocky has passed 3 Novice level and on 9/7/2025 gained his 3rd in Advance and a 1st place with a time of 33.44 seconds. Other Herding Rocky has also been to have a look at sheep at which he is very quiet and polite for his first look. Weight Pull He also had a go at weight pull. He enjoys long countryside and sometimes beach walks and other outings with his family. This is a special litter for the Dam owner Esther Smedley who kindly leased her to me, as well as the owner of the Sire Shelley Donald and myself, as we are all interested in the Performance side of Collie Rough and Smooth Breed. Once again a big Thank you to Esther Smedley for all the work she put into the early advancement of the litter and a big thank you also to Shelley Donald for her on going support in the Dog Sport side of the breed and advice she is giving the new owners in the herding and Obedience fields.
